☀️ School is out, but building great habits doesn't have to stop!

Now is the perfect time to build the critical executive function skills your child needs for school success, without the classroom pressure.

Try these three simple, low-pressure tips to boost different areas of executive function at home:

⏰ For Impulse Control: Practice using "Wait Time." In conversation, encourage your child to count to three silently before answering a question. This simple pause builds their self-regulation muscle.

🧠 For Working Memory: Play memory-based games like "I Spy" with several steps, like "I spy something red, small, and wooden." Recalling these multiple criteria strengthens their ability to hold and use information.

📆 For Time Management & Planning: Co-create a "Summer Bucket List" with estimated times and deadlines. For example, "Build a fort" (2 hours) or "Go to the pool by Thursday." This teaches prioritizing and breaking big tasks into manageable steps.

Want to give your child a strategic advantage for the next school year? Let's use this summer to turn organization, planning, and focus into their superpowers.

Send us a message to learn about our executive function coaches that come to you! In your home, at a time that works for you.
